Excellent Toy Kitchens

For hours of imagination play time.

There is a play kitchen for just about any area or space and children are sure to love either one of these awesome kitchens.  I have no doubt, they will enjoy preparing a feast for the family at their stoves and ovens.   Or perhaps they would prefer pretending like they run their own restaurant.   Each of the featured play kitchens has a little refrigerator area for those foods that need to be keep “cold”.   This  would be a great opportunity for a parent to teach a child without realizing they are being “taught” anything.  Regardless, these play kitchens are sure to be a haven of happiness for your child.

Toy Cookware, Bakeware & Dishes

Melissa & Doug Deluxe Wooden Kitchen Accessory SetCheck PriceOnce you have selected the play kitchen to give, you may also want to consider adding the toy cookware.   Pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates and kitchen accessories all add to the fun.

You can’t go wrong with Melissa and Doug toys, and this cooking set is a prime example.  These are sturdy wooden toys that are a joy to hold and play with.  I love that this particular set even includes the oven mitt.  An excellent idea to teach them early the importance of using oven mitts and hot pads to avoid burns and damage.  It is so much easier to learn as a child then to have to learn from experience as an adult.

These pots & pans are the “right” size for children.  They are also light weigh enough for children, unlike the sets from our own kitchens which they would want to borrow.

What you get in the box:  One wooden frying pan, a wooden pot with it’s own lid, a wooden saucepan and lid, a wooden spoon and spatula plus a handy oven mitt.

Kids can learn so much from play and this toy food set from Melissa & Doug teaches them all about the main 4 food groups.  They won’t even be aware they are learning as they play.  Who knows, it might make getting vegetables into them a whole lot easier.

These are great for kids sorting and storing.

While the space or area available may well “decide” which play kitchen you will purchase, each of the featured kitchens has a bit of their own storage space.  Between the oven, microwave, refrigerator and shelf or cabinet area in the actual play kitchen, storage of the play food will be easy.  I am sure any child would have hours and hours of fun with their own play kitchen, pots, pans, cooking utensils and play food.  If you are really fortunate, perhaps they will invite you to dine with them.

Most of the featured sets are safe for children from 3 year old and up, but be sure to check each item description for the manufacturers recommended age.

Oh, how cute! I have a 3 year old granddaughter who loves to play cooking in her little kitchen. I have been treated to special snack time with her. These play kitchen sets are just great for kids.

  2. Susan says:

Don’t tell, but I used to volunteer in the church nursery so I could play with the kitchen sets! I’m all for anything that nurtures imagination in kiddos and these selections certainly qualify.
