Kids love to use their hands and get creative, so why not set your child up with a toy workbench.  Give them a special set of tools for building projects, even if they are pretend projects.   Let the kids  become Mom and Dad’s little helper by “fixing” things around the house.

These tools and the workbench are designed especially for children so they are safe for “work” and play.   Tools like these are both educational and fun, and they help develop children’s motor skills.   In addition, they will also  encourage their imaginations and creativity.

Children copy what they see their parents doing.  It is always a lot of fun to watch a child sort through the tools, nuts and bolts in the drawers, while balancing the cell phone on one shoulder and chatting away about the job they are undertaking.  As a matter of fact, you will probably want to have your video camera handy!

This toy workbench is recommended for children 3 – 6 yrs. old, but there is a wide selection of play workbenches available, including for babies.

Oh this is too cute! My young granddaughter would have a blast being her Dad at the workbench. She already imitates both her parents to perfection. She has a little toolbelt so a workbench would be great for her.
